The Sunsets we chase…

We love Sunsets.  And Sunrises.  We always did, even before we met each other, probably a trait inherited from our moms.

Ironically, we go to faraway places chasing these sometimes elusive Sunsets, when we can easily see them from wherever we are, every day.  But, I do not remember the last time I saw the Sunset where I live.  Or Sunrise for that matter.  It was probably a couple of months ago, or longer.  It sometimes takes a vacation to pause and appreciate the beauty of a Sunset and who you’re watching it with.

Maybe we ought to remind ourselves once in a while that we don’t need exotic destinations for the excitement or contentment that Sunsets give us.  After all, excitement is the anticipation we feel as we head home after work day after day.  And contentment is in the bear hugs you get from those little arms that barely wrap around you.  Maybe we ought to remind ourselves as the cliche goes, that it’s the journey that matters, not the destination.

On that we note, we present to you some of the high points of our journey.
